How often is a swim platform used at the 41st parallel?

Doesn't seem too useful to me.

How about you?

Last summer we sailed a few boats with platforms. Great for swimming
when we were near Mystic. Suzanne and her sister's kids loved it. We
also found transfering to a dinghy a lot less hassle. Suzanne loved
just sitting on the platform with her feet in the water.
