Doesn't seem too useful to me.

How about you?

Amen!

Last summer we sailed a few boats with platforms. Great for swimming
when we were near Mystic. Suzanne and her sister's kids loved it. We
also found transfering to a dinghy a lot less hassle. Suzanne loved
just sitting on the platform with her feet in the water.

Crantz,

The Swim Platfrom is a cheap, fast way to extend the water line. Calling
it a "Stern Step" as on my 29 or a Swim Platform, if it strecthes far
enough is just a name to excuse the real purpose.

Cheap? Some of the best boats in the world have swim platforms. I think
a lot of people, like us, simply like them. My friend's Tayana 48 has a
swim platform and so do a lot of good family cruisers. Even the
retractable ones take up interior space, but I like those even better.
Seeing how the interior of our 35s5 is so nicely done and one of the
few to fit taller people, the platform is a surprising and welcome
feature. On our boat it's a nice place to sit and hang out as well. So
for us it's also added deck space...a good thing indeed.

Can't you just bolt a swim platform to the dock?

You'd probably use it more.

Imagine if you weren't so lame and could actually take me on by
yourself instead of using sockpuppets? I'll give Scotty credit...he may
be an asshole and a moron, but at least he doesn't need sockpuppets.

Scotty could use a few sockpuppets. He's really not doing that well as
Scotty.

And he never will. Luckily he found his "ultimate boat!"
