Listen Chicken man, I have a steel hull buildt for ice. I would carry
all we need, no need for outside logistical support. What makes you
think I can not navigate the area. I ran rivers thru swamps that would
leave you crying in the mud and dying from mosquito bites. I'm sure the
boats you see abandoned in the artic are mostly french and Canook. I
would love to fish along the edge of the Artic. I would expect cold and
lots of ice, crystal clear blue water, clear skies and yellow fin tuna
in the 6-7 hundred pound range. And really cold drinks. I would expect
people to leave me alone and allow me to explore the area at will. Not
have some pushy Canooks telling me they own the ice.

First off..... Yellow Fin Tuna in the Arctic!!!!!?????

North pacific, in the artic I would eat Caribou, polar bear ect... If I
can drop a deer at 200 yard here I can do in in the artic. Polar bears
are even bigger targets, will see the fur on e-bay. As far is fishing
goes, Salmon, trout, Grayling, Whitefish and other will do.

Bwahahahahahahahahahaaa!
Typical Ignorant Yank..... no idea what the hell you're going to get
yourself into and no clue it's well beyond your abilities.

Here's an idea.... go to your local chinaman and ask if you can sit in his
walk-in freezer for 12 hrs. It should be about -10c which is the average
temperature on the water in the summer.

Big deal! -10c is nothing...hear me nothing. I have a flannel shirt and
tabogon too you know.

The water is exceptionally clear....
but will freeze you in an instant.

Wuss, an ice water dip is fun, here in the summer we have block parties
where everyone brings his weight in ice blocks to the pool.

You'd better look at the distances
involved and the community dispersion. You'd best take a liking to seal
meat.

No whale meat?

Compasses don't work for **** up there.

Sextant, GPS.

No radio contact....

Who want's it?

no
help...

who needs it?

no daily weather forecast...

I have a barometer.

no routing....

What is this ? Traffic control?

channels close in
minutes and ice packs can wedge your vessel in for a long long time.

I will stay near the thin ice, you heard about global warming right?

You won't see more than a couple of Inuit or an occasional Canadian Coast
Guard vessel.

Well if they need help I will lend a hand, it's the proper thing to do.

You can explore all you want... as long as you have permits
from the Inuit to fish and walk on their land.

Ice is not land. No one owns ice in international waters. Same with the
fish.

That'll cost you a purse full
of cash.

And a hand full of beads

Good news is you won't need your running lights ..since it's 24 hr daylight.
Your metal boat will act as a heat sink and dissapate any warmth your
furnace can generate.

I will paint it black

Your vessel will ice up and become top heavy.

Not so, I will keep it chipped off.

You''ll end up a defeated, crushed shell of a man before you hit Kugluktuk,
never mind Goa Haven. Your boat will adorn the coast of some community ...
just like all the others from the USA.

Defeat in not an option. If I ever did decide to do it, I would do it
Mooron, no doubt.

And yes RedCloud would adorn the coast and briten up the communities as
I anchor and explore, but I will be just passing thru.

Seriously Joe..... you don't even know enough about the area to make it
dangerous... it's suicidal for you at this stage. Give it up... Americans
have no business in a Man's World like the Arctic....... stay at home where
Bush will keep you safe with Yellow & Orange alert status indicators.

I will bring along my duct tape and plastic sheeting .....just incase.

Joe

The Med would be a fine cruise I'm sure. Greece has some great ruins
and secluded anchorages. Lots of nice diving ect..
