Well, if you consider the Irish content of the USA, then yes, they
do, by default. The other reason being that they can't afford to.
I'n sure that if they had the wherewithal, England would have been
gone a long time ago. Many Irish were German sympathizers during WW1...

if you were a member of the latter iteration of Sinn Fein or the IRA. Nor,

the Nazis during WWII. So why do you automatically lump all Americans in
