Default Hello to all

Hey all;

I just set up newsgroups on my computer, and I am happy to find
knowledgeable and helpful folks to ask when I have questions. I bought an
old 34' Cal last year. My first boat. I managed to not crash or break it
during the first summer of use, but it was mostly luck.

Anyway, a suggestion: some threads are long and hard to follow because
people leave the original message in the reply. If they turned this off in
their options, send section, the reading would be easier. Just a thought,
and there may be some reason that people leave it on, and I am not smart
enough to figure it out!

It's a custom here to show hot, sexy shots of your wife onboard.

So let's see them.

You found helpful people in THIS group, no way. I rarely see anything
here except personality conflicts. There is rarely anything about
sailing here. You must mean rec.boats.cruising.

You simply refuse to see the silver lining in the sow's ear don't you.....
if everyone doesn't just jump up and pat you on the head you get all whiny.

Try asking a few questions related to sailing and quit formulating your
replies to the opposite of what Bobsprit has to say.... everyone here knows
he is clueless about sailing.

Hi. This is the meow-send program at usenet. I'm afraid I wasn't able to
deliver any clue to the following address:

This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

I'm surprised the OP hasn't been netKKKopped for ~spamming his site yet.

And saw what I never had seen;
A Chapel was built in the midst,
Where I used to play on the green.

And the gates of this Chapel were shut
And "Thou shalt not," writ over the door;
So I turned to the Garden of Love
That so many sweet flowers bore.

And I saw it was filled with graves,
And tombstones where flowers should be;
And priests in black gowns were walking their rounds,
And binding with briars my joys and desires."

That's a cool boat. A friend of mine had one back when they
were new hot racer-cruisers, we sailed it a lot.

Only if you have the whole thread, and follow it in linear
fashion... not so easy on usenet. I quote sections of
previous message that I'm replying to, so you can tell what
I'm talking about.

OTOH to quote several long previous messages and adding "me
too" or maybe the ever-popular "what he said" at the bottom
is kind of annoying.

Actually, there's at least as much sailing discussion here
as there. But it seems to be going down hill lately.

Ah, another Lake Michigan sailor. Welcome. Be advised, however, that some
here believe Lake M. to be a flat pond bearing neither wave nor challenge.
Of course we know differently, but we'll/you'll never convince them.
Forewarned is forearmed.
