One can also tell by looking at the head if it is a blind rivet or not,
the type of material, what type of load it is designed for (sheer vs tension), and a whole host of other factors. I guess this would all be very interesting if only my 35s5 had rivets in the first place. It might also be of some interest if our resident "engineer type" had a clue as to what boat he was on.
