Default Express 30 Interior?

Okay....we all give up!!!!

Steve and Sloco have been claiming for years that the Express 30
"custom interior" is really nice. But EVERY time I post pics from boats
up for sale, they squawk about older hulls and models with less
accomodation!
So...okay.....WHERE are these nice Express 30 interiors???? Let's face
facts, kids. You might find a clean Express 30 interior, but never a
nice one.

Here's a nice interior....

http://members.aol.com/bobsprit/images/int01.jpg

Then again the interior of my C&C 32 blew away the Express 30 in a big
way and the 32 was barely bigger!
Steve was smart to sell that dinosaur, but why is Sloco still in his
sailing coffin? Ever notice that Sloco has yet to post pics of his
boat???

Bwahahahahahaha!

Honestly, bs, I think selling Pony was one of the
dumbest things I've ever done.
Maybe you can talk Loco to posting some pics of
his interior. If you want to see Pony's interior,
you'd have to go to upstate NY.
Of course, you could come to Baltimore and see the
one that is for sale here.

Why? There are plenty of other nicer newer and faster boats around. If
speed's your thing why not just pick up a C&C 34 XL? It blows the doors
off the Depress 30 and has a truly nice interior. It's also gone up in
value 40% in 5 years. You can't lose and Doug pointed out that there
was CB model was well. Don't need the nicer interior? Get a nice J29
and join a fleet with a good amount of boats. I'd suggest a First 36.7
but I think the new interiors are really cheap.
Unless you can't afford something nicer, there's no reason to sail such
an old dinosaur. It's not like it's a classic or anything remotely
close to a good looking boat.

Still, I'd like to see some pics of a nice interior on any Express 30.

It's not about size. It's not about value. It's
not about a fancy interior. It's about sailing.
Something you wouldn't understand. I'd suggest
that you find an Express 30 and sail it. You
won't find many boats like it. The Express 30
feels right. It's the kind of boat you could
single-hand blindfolded.

What an arrogant toad you remain, Steve. It IS about size if you need
room to sleep, have kids or just sail with more people. It is about a
fancy well fit interior if that's what YOU want. Value? That's a word
for losers. I'd rather have a fast fun boat than also sports a nice
interior. There's no "value" in an old dated interior.

I'd suggest
that you find an Express 30 and sail it. You
won't find many boats like it.

Another silly statement. I found very few boats like the Typhoon
either. The Bristol 27 is dinstinctive in sailing manners as well and
so is the J27. Lots and lots of boats sail great, Steve. Everyone who's
sailed the 35s5 seems to be in love with it AND I have a nice interior.
What advantage does the Express 30 have beyond a cheaper price? Has it
gone up in value as the 35s5 or C&C 34XL has? Will it be easier to
maintain? The Express 30, J29, Santana 30/30, J30 and boats like them
have one major thing going for them: LOW PRICE. If money is what counts
and you don't have enough, buy one of them. If you want something
nicer...there are plenty of choices both used an new. Value is relative
to needs and financial clout. If you have low end needs and no
clout....by all means buy another Depress 30.

Exactly my point. Maybe if you were nicer to
Loco, he'd let you sail on Ringmaster. Then you'd
understand. Apparently you are one of those who
hop on a boat the boat show and go right down
below, never noticing if it even has a rig. Think
about it. you confess that you are only going to
daysail and you're worried about sleeping
arrangements. Most people who sail only spend a
fraction of their time below.
Oh, bs, it's not arrogance, it's accuracy. Live
with it.

Most people who sail only spend a
fraction of their time below.

Yikes, what a dumb thing to post. Nonsense. That's your sad world. Most
people I know stay on their boats quite a bit and we plan to do the
same. Why have a crappy interior like the Express 30? What's the
reasoning behind that? If you sleep below twice a month it should be in
a sad shell like the Express? Do you also stay in the cheapest motel
you can find? You only spend a small fraction of your time sleeping
away from home, right? There's no excuse to be less comfortable for the
sake of "value" if you can do better.

Think

about it. you confess that you are only going to
daysail and you're worried about sleeping
arrangements.

Well, caught between a rock and a hard place, you resort to lying. I
have always spent weekends aboard my boats. We plan to expand that. I
guess you don't sleep on the weekends! This first Spring with Thomas
might not see as many overnighters, but this will gradually change.
So...you're wrong again, Steve. And you lied. I never said I ONLY
daysail. Only your buddy Sloco has said that here. Even so...if Sloco
wants to take a 20 minute nap after a daysail, he'll do it in a crappy
interior. Nuff said.

Apparently you are one of those who
hop on a boat the boat show and go right down
below, never noticing if it even has a rig.

Hey, numbnuts! At the AC boat show NONE of the big boats had rigs! Do
you mean I should have been looking at the ceiling?
Good work, Steve. I see you've come a long long way in you ability to
reason and debate!

I thought it was nice of you to give somebody else a chance
to own & sail a first-rate boat... that's assuming that by
"sold" you mean that you got actual money for her...

Maybe he doesn't like the way it looks? Maybe he didn't like
to pay double what Pony Express cost? Maybe he didn't feel
that he needed a BIGGER boat?

Why do always compare apples to oranges... maybe because you
don't know anything about boats or sailing?

Yep. But hey, you're always saying I'm wrong, so there must
not be a CB model.

I can do that with the trawler too. I especially enjoy the
crunchy sounds from up by the bow.
