I think that plastic coated veneer fake teak is better. In retrospect... there's a lot to be said about the simplicity of a Windex wipe and a spray of pledge. Seriously though..... Ozone has us all beat for bullet proof interiors. Yeah, he can go inside with a power washer and simply hose er down. MacGregor brags about that feature on their X boats. Scotty Its also makes it easier to get the wife to help with spring clean up to ready the Mac for the water too!!! JB |

Yulp, look at the Pontiac Aztec, or the new Tribecas. How about the Honda Element or the Scion Box? And let's not forget my current favorite, the Pontiac Solstice. But yeah, the Aztec wears the crown. I think GM dropped it from their line. Max |

It's a pain to keep oiling it. I think that plastic coated veneer fake teak is better. Of course some folks "like" oiling thier teak. If it's below decks, you might try varnishing it. Depends on what you like. I have teak plugs over the s/s screws in the teak. I like to be able to access anypart of the boat. If that entails removal of some teak... it's far simpler and less damaging to remove the plug on oiled teak than on teak with 10 layers of varnish. Oiling teak is a simple effective method to maintain wood with a nice effect. Varnished glossy interiors belong on vessels where the work is done primarily by the yard or hired out. Varnish is *always* better done by someone else. g Max |

RB 35s5--biggest goddam swim platform this side of Texas, bar hell. :Chantiers Beneteau NY I like the 35s5 just fine. Since you seem to be clueless, Bubbles, I'll spell it out for you: it's not your boat I'm jousting with, it's your hubris. Humility is an endearing characteristic. You might wish to give it a try. Max Kinda the pot calling the kettle black isn't it? Oh? How's that, Gary? Do you see me bragging about my boat, my cameras, my this, my that every day with 50 to 100 posts? Do you hear me denigrating others boats in order to make mine seem superior? Max I don't see you denigrating other peoples boats but other people. |

Continuing with that argument, Bubbles, your Bendy should be trimmed
with balsa or styrofoam. Within reason. Everyone's extreme is different. BTW, you still have sent no pic of your boat. RB 35s5 NY |
