Too bad really. I spent 7 days and nights on a 35s5 and they are fine boats
for moderate conditions. Not very good in heavy seas or strong currents.
For sailing on the LIS, it's probably a "great" boat, especially if the main
idea is socializing in comfort. I did not not enjoy trying to single-hand
her, even with roller furling. The helm requires a close watch at all
times. Most any puff can turn her around, and that destroyer wheel is a
killer in heavy weather. Hook up or you may find yourself knocked off the
swim platform.

Capt. Rob, don't be so defensive! It is okay to be a club sailor for a
while. In a few years maybe you can retire and take a trip over blue water.
I remember you before your first boat. You've come a long way for a guy
stuck in inland waters.

We're off sailing before most people row halfway to their mooring. And
we have cold drinks and fully charged batteries waiting for us.

No real privacy at the docks. Filthy bathrooms and
showers.
The water tastes like a plastic hose.

We have a really nice bathroom and shower facility and you need coded
keys to use it. Water tastes fine, and it's regulated better than
bottled water.

And, what's with those ugly fenders hanging on the sides of
vessels
coming out of a dock?

Fenders in a slip are not a bad idea. Can't hurt might help arena.

Imagine the horror of discovering Bobsprit has the slip

to yours.

Yup, I'm the boat with the pretty girls playing classical music, but
we're usually out sailing.

Being surrounded by such ugly boats
that never go anywhere would quickly lead me to thoughts
of suicide.

Can we please send some "ugly boats" to be moored within sight of Neal,
please?
