You're right Bob. That fine yacht is value priced and strikes a cord with
the mid-level yachtsman. You did well. Just remember that speed is gained by making things lighter. Fiberglass is heavy. How much fiberglass is in that hull? How you subtracted out the keel weight from the boat weight and compared that figure to other boats? Remember, there's no such thing as a free lunch. Amen! "Capt. Rob" wrote in message oups.com... And I'd like to point out that Doug failed to name a single boat that could match the 35s5's performance and appointments at anywhere near the price. Speed Big cockpit Births for taller folks Headroom for tall folks Draft under 6 feet Aft Cabin More speed Swim platform Well finished cabin (Subjective, but the 35s5 is better than most) Let's get real. The features above are pretty basic these days, but tough to match in a used boat. Then again, the 35s5 will still walk all over plenty of new boats as well. Try and match the 35s5's features and performance factors under 70K!!! Try it under 90K!!! "The Sensational 35s5, unbeatable luxury performance for today..and tomorrow" Looks like Beneteau had it right as the First Series boats are still doing it. I had a talk with Mark P. at Doyle about his First 36.7 and how well loved the 35s5 is. Robert B Beneteau 35s5 NY |
