Lisa. "I thought you said when I finally turned sixteen that
we could do something else like go to Disney World."

"I know, sweetheart," replied Ganz. "But, since your
mother left us six years ago, I have needed you to help me
out with certain things."

"I know, Daddy, but some of my friends in school told me
what we are doing is just not right. I should be spending
time with boys my own age." replied Lisa.

"Don't you pay any attention to them! They don't know what
they are talking about. You know Daddy loves you, pumpkin,
and would never hurt you." said Ganz.

"I know it doesn't hurt," cooed Lisa. "It's just kinda messy
and I don't like the way it smells and my hand gets tired
and all sticky and it gets in my hair and on my clothes.
But, they say I could get a disease. Daddy, I don't want to
get a disease."

"Nonsense! you won't get any disease that way, dear." Ganz
replied firmly. "Now come over here and let's get to
work--you sand this time, and I'll varnish."
