I'm hoping that put the issue to bed, but something tells me there will
be a repeat of the same exchange this summer.

Here's what the Pros do..... next time you are offered a shooter of
Yuppie sweet crap... whip out a bottle of Lambs Navy Overproof and tell'em
to try your brand... then offer to play *21 for shooters of Rum neat*....
that'll chill their jets in a hurry!

Whazzat? "21 for shooters of rum neat" is a term I've not seen before. I
know what rum neat means, but not the first part. And I like the concept.
If I can only find some Lambs around here . . .

BTW - Ouzo, sliced lemon and the best ground coffee. Dip the lemon into
the ground coffee, take a swig of Ouzo and bite down on the lemon.
Excellent!

That sounds worth a try at least once.

Here's one for you: Slivovitz, straight shots, no chaser. It'll put hair
on your throat, if'n ya don't die first.

Poker game..... we call it "21"! Dealer gives every player a card face
up, then another card face down.... decide if you want another card face
down or hold....closest to 21 wins...you play against the dealer one full
round. Loser drinks!

Plum Brandy..... ??? Look Max I drink overproof regularly... straight rum
is like pop by comparison. If you had recommended Absinth I would have been
impressed.

Yep...they never quit....I somehow can't imagine Roni going head to head
with you doing straight shots, though...

What you need to do is convert the "jello cup" and "slider" crowd...man,
some of that stuff they concoct is really disgusting...

No kidding. I probably ****ed several of them off this summer, when they
offered me some gorilla shots. I declined. They persisted. I politely
declined again. They persisted. This went back and forth until I finally
just walked away.

Next day, Roni asks if they made me angry. I said no, but I just don't
like those sticky-sweet shooters. Told her I'd be happy to drink straight
shots of any of a number of liquors, but not those prissy candy-flavored
things. I'm hoping that put the issue to bed, but something tells me there
will be a repeat of the same exchange this summer.

I figured that out as soon as I sent that last post. We call it Blackjack.

Never had Slivovitz, have ya. Don't pay any attention to what it is, rather
try some. Hint: there's no plum taste whatever, there is a distinct flavor
of turpentine, and it burns the esophagus like glacial acetic acid. It is
considered the same sort of nasty liquor as Aqavit, Absinth, and a few
others I can't recall the name of currently.

Roni won't actually drink much. She is, OTOH, the dock diplomat, either
brandishing a rapier tongue at those deserving of her scorn, or soothing the
ruffled feathers of those she likes. I could tell you so many stories of
that same evening. . . .

Max... you are in dire straights. You have allowed the women on your dock
to not only appear to have opinions... but [gasp] to actually voice an
opinion!!???

Here are some remedial steps to take:

1- Maintain an air of dominance... females adore strenght despite their
protests
2- Never look a woman in the eyes... always stare directly at her breasts or
ass.
3- Keep vocal communications to basics.... food, drink or sex requests
only!
3- Handle females firmly but gently.... the must never assume anything is
their idea.

These guidelines will assist you in becoming the 'Cock of the Dock" in short
order and the ladies will feel much happier knowing their place. Good Luck!

There is a reason you hide up there in the North....you'd be dead anywhere
else.

If only you had as much skill handling a sailboat as you claim you have handling
women, you would be a force to be reckoned with. As it stands now, however,
your part-time sailing is indicative of a man who was defeated by sailing so
he drowns his sorry with strong booze, takes his frustrations out on the
weaker gender and substitutes control of weak and unworthy females for a
more manly chore such as piloting a stout, blue water yacht off-soundings
well away from the surly shackles of a mean, shoreside existence where
talk of 'cocks of the docks' is really quite a pathetic, transparent means
of rationalizing defeat on the high seas.

Face it, sir, you eschew a meaningful challenge, live where you cannot face the
manly offerings of the sea most of the year and then brag about controlling the
opposite gender as if doing so warranted a merit badge. Some merit badge when
all it takes to control any uppity female is to make her walk the plank at the point
of a sword. Mere child's play.

I've lurked on this newsgroup for many years. It was never much of a

sailing
group with the exception of the only two real sailors I've ever seen post
here - Simple Simon and Captain Neal. With both of them gone now this

place
is pathetic and 100% full of losers. I'm going to quit lurking and do
something useful like pull the dingleberries off of my dog's butt.

Good riddance you sad sacks!

Lurker

blahhh dont let the newgroup door hit ya in the a....
