Only fools honor lawbreakers. Sailors do not honor sailors who break the laws of sailing. So, do you run an anchor light all night? Maintain a watch? Ever leave to go below while sailing? I'll bet you violate the Inland Rules every day. And unlike the ColRegs, you can be penalized for breaking those rules even if there isn't an incident.
