I didn't have to - you already did quote the upgraded number of $350
mil. You still don't seem to realize that the 12 cents number was
based on 35 mil, not 350 mil.

I haven't been trying to defend the US, I've only tried to point out
your math error!

If I wanted to defend the US, I could point out the large number of
personal donations, corporate donations, and military aid. I also
wonder what part of the $250 mil from the World Bank comes from the US,
or how much the UN, which is largely US funded, will give. How much
debt will be forgiven, will tariffs be adjusted, etc?

Also, although disasters of this magnitude are a global responsibility,
its only fitting that neighboring countries with strong economic and/or
cultural ties would be the most generous.

And finally, making comparisons based on isolated snapshots is
meaningless. Recently, Germany and Australia increased their pledges,
until then they were behind the US. What's the point?

Come back when you have something to back your ludicrous claims....

Earth to Mooron - the amount has been increased - even you quoted the
higher number. Are you so drunk as to forget that increasing the total by
a factor of 10 increasing the "per capita" amount? Are you so stupid that
you don't realize that in a quickly evolving situation a single snapshot
is meaningless?

It isn't literacy I question, its math skills.

Don't know how to break the news to you, but most of the western world's
students score higher than the US's in the standardized math tests. Won't
even mention the eastern world Old news. Perhaps Mooron is an
exception, can't say, didn't read the originals.

I haven't made any claim at all, except that the 12 cents per

person
number is old data and is off by a factor of at least 10. You

seem to
have great difficulty understanding that.

Nope... I proved my point that the USA is a global cheapskate....

Aren't you just quoting what the govt. is sending? Sounds like many
US citizens are sending big bucks. After all, the people are the
country, not the frickin politicians.

Crow? You divide $350,000,000 by 280,000,000 people and come up with 12
cents per person. That makes you pretty stupid, Mooron. Quoting a week
old blog doesn't help your case at all.

Oh Jeff, Jeff, Jeff........ you didn't even bother going to the sites did
you?

Best check all the posts I placed to help you out.... BIG SPENDER!!!

I looked at all the sites. You're the one who kept screaming "12 cents"
even after you quoted the $350 mil number. An obvious blunder on your
part. That's all I was pointing out. If you ever sober up you might
understand.

Bang On the Mark Scotty!

My intent was to lay waste to the bragging about who gave more...
The only way to that was to lay waste to the argument...
