One planeload of supplies yesterday.
The federal government has pledged 40 million.
The province of British Colombia 7 million.
The other provinces are deciding on amounts.
5 million last I heard by online donation to the Canadian Red Cross, and
they are installing more phone lines.
The Montreal office of Oxfam's phone lines are jammed.

In short we don't know yet what the total will be.
This disaster has really struck a note.

The minister of immigration has announced streamlined immigration for those
in affected areas.with relatives in Canada.

Yes, I'm sure Canada is doing all it can. It's not their fault they
don't have the resources of the US.

Who is giving more? Canada just UP ITS share in Money. Canadian Dollars
:^) which doesn't even come even. $40,000 Canadian isn't the same as
$40,000US

As always, The US is first with the most..
Any hard aid will cost the US in transportation

Canada did use it to get a shot at the State's ban on Canadian Beef,
even though they are still getting sick cattle as we speak.

I'm wrong, as far as overall dollars go. I was mislead by Bush's lethargic
response to the crisis. He missed an opportunity to enhance our image with
the Muslim world.
