For most of us on this ng, "sailing" means taking our vessel out to sea
(where we can be master of all that we survey).

Perhaps you should study Michael's posts. He has gone to sea on commercial
vessels. He has done so to earn money that he can use to go sailing on his
own boat.
I'm sure that he gets great experience on these big ships, but he doesn't
try to claim that he is "sailing".



Donal et al is light amusement for
the idle moments is all.

What the hell on you on about.... for the most part "sailing" on this
newsgroup consists of a bunch of cyber sailors lamenting everything that

Michael sails for work and hasn't got his "sailboat" launched in 3 years!
Haggie is working on restoring her vessel... even though she probably has
more experience then most of us combined!
Binary Bill sails a daysailor... that leaves the dock 50% less often than
Bob's!
Tadpole sails on a swamp!
John Cairns has illusions of being a salty world class racer... never gets
his own boat out of the lake
Capt Neal makes passages that wouldn't test the abilities of a Mac26x.. let
alone a Jet ski and lays to anchor for 6 months of the Year.
Joe sails his "Iron Maiden" out of a lake and onto shallow flats you could
get out and walk along.
Jon sails in San Fran 'Bay".... he never goes out of the bay!
Old Thom is the only one that remotely sails out of the bay... for short
durations!

Master of all he surveys indeed..... the hell you say!

dollar house with guest cottages and a river with water falls.... it's next

attending... and I assure you none have sobriety as a primary function in
their lifestyle!

Well... I'm off in 2 hours or so for a road trip..... so I haven' imbibed
for the last 24hrs and won't be drinking for the next 24 hrs. You know... I
really don't miss the booze when I decide to stop for a while.... never
have. Sometimes I go months without a drink... depends on what's going on.
It's not a big thing.

The 12 steps are for the genetically inferior......
