Bwahahahaha - not at you, but with you 'cuz that's about how we won independence from Briton. Strapped for troops and cash, King George sent over flocks of Hessians he recruited by promising them land in America in return for fighting the colonials. But Washington crossed the Deleware, proved to the Hessians that fighting gould get dangerous, then offered them the same land for NOT fighting - an offer few could refuse. The rest is history. Your version of "history" is always good for a laugh. When did the U.S. ever offer any land to any foreign troops? OTOH land and houses of Loyalists were granted to various well-connected people in the Revolution... but not Hessians AFAIK. DSK |

I suppose not if only because they were no longer "hessians" when they became deserters. Ever wonder where all those "Pennsylvania Dutch" and "Germantowns" came from. They thought they were getting free land. Indians had other ideas and they ended up having to fight for it anyway. |
