Nutsy,
I had one boat with a Dinette Lay-out. My first sailboat with a cabin. I swore it would be my last. I've been true to that. A Dinette is great when at anchor or in a slip or on a power boat. On a Sailboat, in a heeled position, it is a waste of space. In fact, I kind of feel the same way about any table when a boat in heeled. Classic or Dinette layout. When you're heeled, Dining graciously is out of the question. It is a one hand to hold and one the feed, a seat to wedge into. This wedge part is a hell of a lot easier in a classic layout. Getting rid of the table is a big plus. That's this fat, old man feelings. For what its worth. Ole Thom |
