Right, need to get through? Everyone picks up their food, plates and drinks,
lower a leef and your done. How nice. Not a problem. As I've stated many times we go to restaurants. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "Trains are a winter sport" |
A Dinette is great when at anchor or in a slip .
Well that's the Boob! Now we know why he likes it. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "Trains are a winter sport" |
Some prefer
the classic arangement. I've owned both and Alien's layout works best for us. Oh, but you said it was better. Now it's just better for you. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "Trains are a winter sport" |
My second boat, a little Merit 22, had a dinette just like the Boobs.
S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "Trains are a winter sport" |
We have the dinette AND the cabin room we wanted.
Thus the subject header. There's a new member in our family. Poor Scotty Potti. He'll **** a Sea Lion when he sees our new boat! RB |

Mine is just far more valid than yours because I sail more and own a better boat. A sad-sack like Scotty Potti is a true moron, having actually purchased a worse POS after owning his 1st POS boat! Right, need to get through? Everyone picks up their food, plates and drinks,
lower a leef and your done. How nice. Not a problem. As I've stated many times we go to restaurants. Oh. Well, why have the table at all then. Based on your comment Thom is correct and the design of your boat is inferior compared to mine. Oh, and still waiting on the head question. Is it open to the V or fully enclosed? My P30 was open to the V. RB |
Everyone here has an opinion, Loco. Mine is just far more valid than yours
because I sail more and own a better boat. You have yet to state the reasons. We've been waiting for over a week. You don't sail more and you don't own a better boat. Express Yachts was founded by a few ex top C&C people who knew they could build a better boat than C&C. They hired a top Canadian designer and built better boats. Period. A ****ing contest on whose swim ladder is the
highest? Probably since according to the Boob anything that's bigger has to be better. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "Trains are a winter sport" |
Express Yachts was founded by a few ex top C&C people who knew they could
build a better boat than C&C. They hired a top Canadian designer and built better boats. Period. BWAHAHAHAHA! Express FAILED. C&C remains one of the most respected builders of the 70's and 80's. Most people and I do mean MOST never heard of Express. RB |
hey bob, how many times did C&C fail? How many
times did they go under? C&C of today is just a name. There is no one in C&C today left over from the 70's and 80's. S. Address each of these and we'll be off to a start.... The head on your Express is open to the V, correct? Got a dressing table in the forward cabin with three drawers and table top that can hold a TV? Double that's over 6'6? Dinette that doesn't force you to eat at restaurants? Nav desk with 3 large storage cuddys and three drawers? Nav desk with enclosed hutch and upper shelf for instruments? 5" closed cell cushions? Hot and cold water in head and galley with seawater pumps? Seperate pumps for shower and fridge? Do you even have a fridge or just a box? Steel handholds integrated with virtually every bit of furniture including tables, sink, dinette and so on!? I hope you have a teak sole! All deck gear mounting hardware hidden beneath access panels? 6 reading lights, 4 overheads, galley light, nav light, quarterberth light and engine compartment light??? Got milk? RB |
hey bob, how many times did C&C fail? How many
times did they go under? Are you asking about failed boats like the Mega or financial troubles for C&C in general. Either way, C&C is a very famous builder, well respected for a great many designs. Express was a spinoff that failed for a variety of reasons: Price was one. Lines were another....I think the hard edges of the Express were too harsh for many and while the Express looks C&Cish, I don't think it's as attractive. Below decks C&C was doing a very nice job in the mid 80s and the Express did not win over many people below decks, especially families. If C&C was Happy Days, then Express was Joanie Loves Chachi. Or...If C&C was Alice, then Express was Flo, or...if C&C was Sean Connery, then Express might be Roger Moore...or...If Express was Picard, then you can bet that C&C is certainly James T. Kirk. There. Have you noticed how the ''Slip Queen'' never mentions sailing ability
of a boat? Always yapping about the interior. The 'dinette', or the cushions. I bet he watches 'queer eye' every night. SV "SAIL LOCO" wrote in message ... Everyone here has an opinion, Loco. said we are on pins and needles waiting to see your new boats interior? S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "Trains are a winter sport" |
BWAHAHAHAHA! Express FAILED. C&C remains one of the most respected builders

Express was a spinoff that failed for a variety of reasons:
They failed when many others went under. S2, a highly regarded builder went under at the same time. What was their problem? Nothing except the mid eighties economy. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "Trains are a winter sport" |

Were you at boat shows at the time interviewing people? I'd be willing to bet that in say 1984 Express sold more boats than C&C. Why don't you check that out. Got a dressing table in the forward cabin with three drawers and table top that can hold a TV? - That's your two feet. Double that's over 6'6? - got it Dinette that doesn't force you to eat at restaurants? - got it Nav desk with 3 large storage cuddys and three drawers? Nav desk with enclosed hutch and upper shelf for instruments? - got it 5" closed cell cushions? - 6" Hot and cold water in head and galley with seawater pumps? - got it Seperate pumps for shower and fridge? - shower yes. Do you even have a fridge or just a box? - anybody can add a fridge. Steel handholds integrated with virtually every bit of furniture including tables, sink, dinette and so on!? - what? The express has full length handholds plus a steel rail in the galley to clip onto. I hope you have a teak sole! - yep All deck gear mounting hardware hidden beneath access panels? - got it. 6 reading lights, 4 overheads, galley light, nav light, quarterberth light and engine compartment light??? - got it, even the engine compartment. So as I posted previously you have 2' more room and they put a dressing table in the forward cabin. You still don't have a proper sea berth. Gee I guess a dressing table makes up for that. Probably great for changing diapers. Yours or the babys. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "Trains are a winter sport" |
see?
The Boobster is the guy the reps chuckle at at the boat show. He's the nitwit that gets on every boat sticks his head down the companionway and blurts out "how many will she sleep" S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "Trains are a winter sport" |

Damn shame MP. My Beemer days ended when three idiots put me in the
hospital three times in one year. Nothing to do with the bike just got disgusted over idito drivers who couldn't see bright yellow etc. even if they bothered to look. The culprits, all whom statedthey 'didn't see me? Fell into three categories 1) too damn old to be driving 2) too young and too busy fiddling with make up 3) John Rocker's favorite an oriental with a cellphone. Come to think of the exact same categories that caused most of the problems when I was flagging traffic. M. "Scott Vernon" wrote in message ... "Maxprop" wrote in I don't. I ride a BMW. Dinette that doesn't force you to eat at restaurants? - got it
You're boat is the dinette layout that Thom as bashing? Oh. RB |
Do you even have a fridge or just a box? - anybody can add a fridge.
Yeah, properly done for about 1K. But it's a basic cruising item and you don't have it. RB |
Steel handholds integrated with virtually every bit of furniture including
tables, sink, dinette and so on!? - what? The express has full length handholds plus a steel rail in the galley to clip onto. So that's a big NO. We have teak rails along the whole liner AND the handholds. You lose AGAIN. RB |
Where do you get this stuff???? Were you at
boat shows at the time interviewing people? Nope, but I broker boats and talk to a lot of sailors. The Express isn't popular for it's looks. Period. RB |

Yeah, properly done for about 1K. But it's a basic cruising item and you
