Correct. And a softwood plug gets tighter with time.

Don't tell Jon-boy, or he'll look for one.

We should all listen to Horass. He's knows all about butt plugs.

Here in the UK. we have a Damage device called a SUBRELLA. This is somewhat
similar to an umbrella, but well engineered. In collapsed form it is pushed
through the hole, and when pulled back via handle and attached line covers
and closes the hole, under water pressure.
Is supplied in various sizes. Worth carrying as safety equipment. Regards.

one thing i did do last year was to re-plumb the raw water intake.
to include a valve in the engine compartment with a hose bib to facilitate
winterizing the boat.
it also serves as a very capable bilge pump should the occasion present
itself.
set of bungs.
hose clamps
extra hose for engine raw water. been there when a hose busted at 2 in the
morning. (why does everything that is critcal happen at 2 in the morning?)
rebuilt the emergency bilge pump (manual)

other than that: an eprib, a hand held radio and flares sit just inside

the
campionway

gf.

What type of damage control gear do you keep on board.?

Dunnage, plugs. bracing, patches, ect to keep your vessel floating if
you hole your hull.

Shucks, most places on the Chesapeake you wouldn't even have to

swim, you
could just wade ashore.

LOL........ That's right. I forgot about that. I guess I'll throw

away the
wood bungs. Further lighten the boat.

On Sunday, a TowBoat dragged a huge tree up to our boat ramp. Didn't
see how they got it up the ramp.

Yup, or grab on to a log floating by.

I heard on the news there's a few washing machines.

That's not allowed during a race. You must finish with the same crew
you started with.

Pathetic Earthlings! No one can save you now!

Sorry Stabu,

I never check that address. Its all spam, spam, spam and more spam.
I hate spam...... but I think your subrella gizmo is a great ideal.

Do you have a link you could post? Pictures

Perhaps a bit more info on how its made and the pricing.

Have you patented your ideal yet? If not perhaps you should.

Thanks
Joe
