![]() wrote you can easily carry a gallon less of fuel for the same run time. That will save what? 8 -10 pounds? 1 gallon of gasoline equals 5.8 to 6.5 lbs. SV Lets see, that means I was off by what? 19%? More like 28% ~ 35%. Ask Jax to do the maths for you. I guess I can estimate the weight of gasoline better than you estimate windspeed. The last time you tried, I remember you being off by 25%. Well, your memory sucks. If you'd have been able to understand the graph that Pony posted, you'd have realized I was within 10% of the windspeed at the time I was sailing. When that was pointed out, you defended it by whining about not being able to afford instruments. Liar. Post where I wrote anything about the cost of instruments. I will admit that I did not go and weigh a gallon of gas before I posted, even though I can afford to. You can afford a gallon of gas now? Congratulations. Are you trying to be like bob, or can't you help it? Scotty |
