If you look at the ground and push some dirt around slowly with your big
toe, they'll say, "oh, get going you big lunk."
Oh yeah, almost forgot, you should hand him $300 cash too.

If you get stopped, just say you "didn't know."
As an option, try, "I don't agree with the hazmat laws."
Either way, the Statey is sure to let you go on your way. ; )

Yesterday I had a trailer brake catch on fire , (which also melted the
tire), pulled over, put it out, then a statey stopped. Oh no. He was
real nice, tried to help. Had his dispatcher make a call for me as we
were in a valley (no cell service). He even gave me his home phone
no. in case I had trouble later on that night.

Where would Scotty Potti get 300 bucks? Selling his boat would still leave him
229.50 short.

How's the fathering going RB? I'm at the other end of the line, with my
youngest (of 3) just going off to college. College is like the big bubble
payment at the end of all the other seemingly endless payments. Unless
you're independently wealthy, my best advice is to start a college fund for
the little guy, now. The other advice is to find ways to enjoy your time
with him (sailing is a great start). Scout

My congratulations, or condolences I only have one kid and he just
started college. Costs have gone up. I was more than a bit surprised
to find that used textbooks for one semester of basic freshman classes
were almost $700. He had better learn something One of the great
quotes that I recall from one of my profs.."education is one of the
few things people are willing to pay for and not receive." Sad but
true

Yep, the costs sure have gone up. I'm seeing a significant difference
between my first and my last to go. When he's done I will have put 5 of us
through college and I'm calling it quits!

For me, the guilt of not getting up at night was the hard part. I made up
for it later though.
That's great about the college!

Tomorrow will be two weeks since Thomas was born. So far it's been

interesting,
but not as hard as I expected. We sleep at night for the most part. We

have to
wake him for feedings. He gets fussy in the early evening and we work hard

to
entertain him, which is mostly a lot of fun. It's early yet, but I'm

having
fun. Luckily, his college is already paid for via his grandparents.
