Jeff,
Why don't you answer and collect the points. I don't
think anyone will get it.

Default Seamanship Question #6

OK, as I mentioned in the "hint" this table is well known to anyone who has
studied for the OUPV or Master's test. It is the visibility distance, in miles,
of the lights of various sized boats.

The columns a sidelight - sternlight - masthead light
The rows a
under 12 meters
12 to 20 meters
20 to 50 meters
50 meters and over

10 points for you Jeff.

I find it a handy way to remember too.

Mostly 2's and 3's with no 4's, and
only one 1, 5 and 6.

lately?
