If I owned Texas then I could probably afford to live there comfortably. And I certainly don't want to live any place where I might have to shovel snow more than twice a decade. ... Actually I take a "glass is half full approach". I grew up in rural North Carolina which was lovely (and still is, if you know where to look). But with the arrogance of youth I thought of it as the armpit of all Creation. Looking at what it is now, I wish I'd appreciated it more back then. But there are certainly a lot of beautiful places on this Earth! Did you visit Lake Garda? Afraid not. Never made it out of Tuscany. There are a surprising number of things to see and wines to drink over there. The Italians were very nice, by the way, although they don't seem to care for Bush. |
