Horvath claimed;
I would have taken out the reef long ago. Are you taking away my points? The water is flat. The wind had died long ago. You were sailing in dead air for a long time with a reefed main. I would have taken out the reef long ago. Why? We were CRUISING, not racing. Also we were running w/the wind all morning so the main wasn't 'doing much'. You have no concept of how the rig works. Pathetic Earthlings! No one can save you now! |

The water is flat. The wind had died long ago. You were sailing in
dead air for a long time with a reefed main. You mean when the wind falls of, sea state stays the same for a long while??? Never saw that! Wind dies, sea follows quite quickly. RB |

Looks like a flukey day and I don't doubt higher winds occured and returned. If you weren't there, a pic only tells so much...and Horvath knows so little. RB |
