..... As to a love of socialism, I believe only you fall into that category. Rational, intelligent people (all the rest of humanity) don't buy into such a falacious socioeconomic system. The Craft system gave way to the Guild system when advancing technology made crafts to difficult for one to learn on his own. Then the Guild system morphed into capitalism when advancing technology made tools too expensive for individual craftsmen to own. And advancing technology has been eating away at Capitalism for nearly a century. Automation gradually replaces the workers who both create and consume products, but what happens when automation replaces them all? They cannot buy without wages and there can be no profits without sales; so capitalism will collapse. Question is, what will replace it? Socialism? Communism? Something new? The only thing that's certain is that automation will bit by bit destroy our existing system. Even burger-flipping will get automated. Then what will all the MBAs do? |
