Which reminds me of the cautionary tale of the cleaner(janitor, actually) at
my place of employment that died in a murder/suicide at work. Seems he was
in stairwell at work, where he allegedly groped a female security guard. He
apparently had a bit of money, he was afraid that she was going to sue him
and take it all. Even though this guy was making well over $120K annually at
the time, he and his wife would troll the freeway interchanges(the grassy
areas on the side of the road) looking for 10 cent deposit bottles and cans
that had been discarded by motorists! My wife was working at the plant at
the time, he approached her and asked if he could have her empty pop bottle,
she said no, he gave her one of those if looks could kill stares. Early one
Sunday morning, he went to the security office and accosted the father of
the alleged victim, who happened to be a securiy supervisor at the plant,
shot and killed him and then himself. I don't know if there's a moral to
this story, maybe Scotty can think of one.

I think the moral of the story is that if a janitor at your place of
business is making "well over $120k", then the economy is in better
shape than we thought and most of us need to reacquaint ourselves with
mops and floor buffers.

WHoa! Are you claiming your janitor makes $120k/year?

Moral? uh.....don't litter.

| Meanwhile you're accusing someone you don't know of stealing.
|
| I know you well enough, thanks.

You don't know a thing and you prove it when you call people thieves.
Pretty F'ed up behavior, Doug. You won't find me messing about with peoples
business. Still worse, I've doing this with local yards. So you're essentially
calling them thieves as well.
All in all, pretty creepy of you to make such an accusation. And pretty sad.

Nothing makes a fence madder than to be called a thief

Years ago, my father bought 3 watches for us kids from a street
peddler named Izzy, who frequented the Gansvoort meat market in lower
Manhattan. We thought it was a hoot and told every one we got watches
from Izzy "The Fence". My old man thought this was funny and relayed
it to Izzy. We never saw Izzy again.

I didn't. I labeled Doug a "creep" which is exactly what he is.
