John remarked:
when I was a kid, we would go to the northern shore in Ontario and you'ld see nothing but dead fish on the beaches Smae as when I was a kid. We spent a great deal of time at Point Pelee and perch fishing off the pier at Leamington. Beaches were littered with dead sheephead, but we'd pick our way through to swim. Used to go to Holiday Park down by Monroe, too, before they put in the nuke and killed all the fishies there. Of course, we lived on the Edison Lake spur of Belleville Lake and swam in it almost every day, and that made Lake Erie look pristine. -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A. Enrico Fermi Nuclear Power Plant is not in Monroe, and doesn't kill any fish. Screw the rules! They're more like guidelines, anyways. |

![]() Enrico Fermi Nuclear Power Plant is not in Monroe, and doesn't kill any fish. It's down in that general vicinity...it was the closest city to where we went, Holiday Beach or something like that, and when they first put it in, it did kill lots of fish from all the hot water.... -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A. I guess you never noticed those two huge cooling towers? You can see them from Put-in-Bay. There's no discharge of hot water into the lake. Screw the rules! They're more like guidelines, anyways. |

Buzi related: I guess you never noticed those two huge cooling towers? You

When I grew up it was the 50's and 50's and the plant then was Fermi 1....they have since fixed the problem. Get with the program. It did kill fish when they first built it. -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A. So how was it, heating your teepee with wood and dried horse dung? Screw the rules! They're more like guidelines, anyways. |

Katy, you need to listen to Horass. He's got valuable
information to share about dried horse dung. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Horvath" wrote in message ... Buzi asked:
How do I know how old you are? I repeatedly talk about my grown-up ids and make references about my grandchildren...isn't rocket science to figure it out. I will be 52 soon....as will someone else of prominence on the ng, but I won't mention any names.... -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A.
