In the competitive spirit of sailing, I've set
a goal of being the first one sailing this year at the boat club. Unlike most of the club that depend on a one day crane rental for launching, I'm dry sailing, so I am excused from all that crap! grin I would love to be sailing while everyone is sweating there boats around the yard! Ha! Last fall, there were many jealous faces, while I sailed the wonderful late season we had and all the other boats were hauled. This week, I pulled by boat to the club, prepped my mast for stepping, debated whether I should install a windex or not, and decided to go ahead and install it since so many people sailing on my boat can't tell where the wind is coming from. Everything is ready to go. Tomorrow I'll be stepping HOOTs mast, if I can move one big boat mast and round up enough help. I'll have to drop the boat in the water, and then use a gin pole built into the opposite side of the hoist boom, to drop it in, and then haul the boat out again since my registration has not come in yet. There is a fellow in the area who came up with a good gin pole idea, to drop a mast in on the trailer, which is a great idea if you want to haul the boat around to various regattas. I joined another yacht club last December, and have a slip for the big boat, so I will likely be spending most of the spring sanding. My pickup is loaded with West System epoxy, filler, and sandpaper. What exciting things are the rest of you doing this spring? Bart Senior |

What will that cost?
Wouldn't it be more exciting to sail it down. Bart "katysails" wrote Bart asked: What exciting things are the rest of you doing this spring? Waiting to see if we'll be shipping Chanteuse to Fort Myers, Fl in June. |

Somewhere between 2k-3k... Wouldn't it be more exciting to sail it down. Yes, but there's a large time constraint seeing as how Mr Sails will be living aboard while I sell the house up here....need it down there pronto.... I almost done teaching a beginning sailing class on a lake..
one more day. The best question so far was when one of women students asked another male student, "Is that a forward stay?" He replied, "It depends if you like me or not." -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "N1EE" wrote in message om... What does the Sonata look like? I couldn't find any picture of it.
