Smae as when I was a kid. We spent a great deal of time at Point Pelee and
perch fishing off the pier at Leamington. Beaches were littered with dead
sheephead, but we'd pick our way through to swim. Used to go to Holiday
Park down by Monroe, too, before they put in the nuke and killed all the
fishies there. Of course, we lived on the Edison Lake spur of Belleville
Lake and swam in it almost every day, and that made Lake Erie look pristine.
