I do like a hvy'r cloth in the main but the KAPPA CUT or even the MITRE
in Dacron add weight fast with their seams. I guess it is my age. I like the old cross cut dac for the main That's true if you stick with the same weight cloth but with a triradial you can drop down a "size" I bought a new triradial main last summer which uses a new square weave Dacron cloth and it's lighter than my old cross cut.
