![]() "Joe" wrote in message om... "Donal" It's not magic. You are placing your trust in "luck". When you kill somebody, you will claim that he had "no business being there". regards Again Donal you show that you have no clue. Uh - OH! Redneck alert!! You seem to have snipped the bit where I said that Rednecks don't encounter icebergs. Most sailors here were smart enough to figure out it was indeed a submarine I was talking about. They have lookouts, but not a type of lookout that you are capable of understanding. They change what they hear into a visual picture that they have no problem understanding. You think that they still listen to "pings", huh? What an idiot! The lookout get his visual information from a display screen like a radar screen. Hey, dopey! Do they "hear", or do they get "visual" info from a screen? Make your mind up! His information is so good he can tell you exactly what type of ship is a 100 plus miles away, and he can tell its course and speed. Wow-eeee. I'm really impressed! Isn't modern technology wonderful? Who'd a thought it? A modern submarine can identify a vessel a hundred miles. "They change what they hear into a visual picture". That is why Rednecks are so impressive.... they are soooo up to date with with the latest technology! And the US submarine fleet has the safest record of any vessels at sea. ...Yada, yada, yada! And GW Bush soesn't tell big lies?? Imagine that, moving safley at 30 + knots and soley relying on a display units. A skill far greater than any physic yachtmaster can even comprehend. We have over 80 submarines underway as you read this, Boomers and fast attack flying the seven seas at speeds that would have you crapping your pants. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LUCK THAT THEY DO NOT HIT THINGS DONAL, ITS SKILL TO USE THE PROPER TOOLS. Maybe they have properly trained navigators? Do you really think that the US Submarine fleet would allow Rednecks to be involved in navigation? Of course not! Rednecks would only be involved in food preparation, and cleaning duties. Donal you earn a -3 asa points and paint your neck the reddest and your ass the pompest with your responce. Typical snobbish ****** unable to grasp a simple concept that visual is everything you see. You'tr a typical redneck who probably thinks that the theory of relativity has something to do with inbreeding. Donal I hope you are not the typical Yachtmaster wannabe. You blokes live on an isle that is famous for it's fog, and I would think that most yachtmasters would make learning to use radar to safely navigate thru fog a priorty. I bet you laugh at local boats using radars on crystal clear days dont you? Joe, sometimes I really think that you are only pretending to be so stupid. I know if I lived in an area prone to fog I would always use radar on clear days and learn every detail of the local waters that I plie by radar. That way when thats the only way to navigate safely I would have no fear or lack of local knowledge. Its also the best way to learn how to tune a radar. Remember when I wrote rhat one should "play with the Radar"? What did your little brain think that I meant by that? You say you have a radar, and you have proved you have no confidence in your ability to use it. How? Do you smash your fingers every time you use a hammer? Does your fourteen year old daughter smoke at the dinner table - in front of her two kids? I bet that you can recite all your vowels in a single burp!! Joe, you're a redneck. Regards Donal -- |
