On this craft we move at 20-30 knots most of the time.

In areas with Fog, high winds, storms, monster seas, icebergs, shipping lanes,
harbors,and open oceans.

Yet rarely we care to have a *visual lookout.(*according to Donal)
We are at sea 90+ days at a time.
With a large crew.

What kind of craft can safely do this feat of physic magic.

Are they breaking the Col Regs with no visual lookouts on the bow in fog?

Good for 3 ASA points.

You have icebergs??? Don't be silly. Rednecks don't encounter icebergs!

Twaddle! You don't go to sea for more than a few hours at a time.

With a large crew.

Bobsprit?

It's not magic. You are placing your trust in "luck". When you kill
somebody, you will claim that he had "no business being there".

Again Donal you show that you have no clue.

Most sailors here were smart enough to figure out it was indeed a
submarine
I was talking about. They have lookouts, but not a type of lookout
that you are capable of understanding.

They change what they hear into a visual picture that they have no
problem understanding. The lookout get his visual information from a
display screen like a radar screen. His information is so good he can
tell you exactly what type of ship is a 100 plus miles away, and he
can tell its course and speed.

And the US submarine fleet has the safest record of any vessels at
sea. Imagine that, moving safley at 30 + knots and soley relying on a
display units. A skill far greater than any physic yachtmaster can
even comprehend. We have over 80 submarines underway as you read this,
Boomers and fast attack flying the seven seas at speeds that would
have you crapping your pants. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LUCK THAT THEY
DO NOT HIT THINGS DONAL, ITS SKILL TO USE THE PROPER TOOLS.

Donal you earn a -3 asa points and paint your neck the reddest and
your ass the pompest with your responce. Typical snobbish ******
unable to grasp a simple concept that visual is everything you see.

Donal I hope you are not the typical Yachtmaster wannabe. You blokes
live on an isle that is famous for it's fog, and I would think that
most yachtmasters would make learning to use radar to safely navigate
thru fog a priorty.

I bet you laugh at local boats using radars on crystal clear days dont
you?

I know if I lived in an area prone to fog I would always use radar on
clear days and learn every detail of the local waters that I plie by
radar. That way when thats the only way to navigate safely I would
have no fear or lack of local knowledge. Its also the best way to
learn how to tune a radar.

You say you have a radar, and you have proved you have no confidence
in your ability to use it.

Do you smash your fingers every time you use a hammer?

Uh - OH! Redneck alert!!

You seem to have snipped the bit where I said that Rednecks don't encounter
icebergs.

You think that they still listen to "pings", huh? What an idiot!

Hey, dopey! Do they "hear", or do they get "visual" info from a screen?
Make your mind up!

Wow-eeee. I'm really impressed! Isn't modern technology wonderful? Who'd
a thought it? A modern submarine can identify a vessel a hundred miles.
"They change what they hear into a visual picture". That is why Rednecks
are so impressive.... they are soooo up to date with with the latest
technology!

Maybe they have properly trained navigators?

Do you really think that the US Submarine fleet would allow Rednecks to be
involved in navigation? Of course not!

Rednecks would only be involved in food preparation, and cleaning duties.

Does your fourteen year old daughter smoke at the dinner table - in front of

Thats right Lanod, because it had nothing to do with the thread, it
was just you acting like the little redneck you are, seems when your
made a fool of over and over again you resort to calling someone a
redneck.

No redneck, they use passive sonar as well. But they do still ping on
occasion.
Your the idiot.

The lookout get his visual information from a

They turn hearing into a visual picture they see on a display. I know
this is real hard for you to comprehend. It sort of like the way radar
works.

His information is so good he can
tell you exactly what type of ship is a 100 plus miles away, and he

So your saying a navigator is the only thing needed to keep from
hitting something?

Do you really think that the US Submarine fleet would allow Rednecks to be
involved in navigation? Of course not!

No not a british redneck like you.

Rednecks would only be involved in food preparation, and cleaning duties.

Your pathetic lanod, you run from the facts and call names, very
childish but expected from a yachtmaster wannabe like you.

Donal you earn a -3 asa points and paint your neck the reddest and

Your pretty lame responces show that your lacking the ability to
understand.
Calling names is stressing your IQ.

Joe, sometimes I really think that you are only pretending to be so stupid.

Hey, everyone else knew it was a submarine, How come your so stupid
you could not? All you did is started screaming about running people
down and killing them. Seems your the one lacking knowledge.

I know if I lived in an area prone to fog I would always use radar on

In your case playing is indeed playing. Here we study the functions of
radar and learn to use them when needed. To you its a toy to play
with, not a tool to get a job done.

You say you have a radar, and you have proved you have no confidence
in your ability to use it.

By not understanding that proffesional mariners use it safely to
navigate in the fog.

Do you smash your fingers every time you use a hammer?

Does your fourteen year old daughter smoke at the dinner table - in front of

Dont have a daughter Donal. And I have no need to attack your children
or your wife ect. Your dumb enough for your whole clan.

Again you act like a redneck trying to attack and degrade someone or
put someone down just to cover the fact that you are a stupid ******
redneck asshole with no understanding of real seamanship.

With your replys you have shown yourself as the "Rd Neck" look up the
defination it fits you to a tee. When you show your stupidty you just
call people names to try to cover it up. It's sad, really sad.

Joe, you're a redneck.

Above is Donals way of hiding the truth, that he is the only one
here stupid.

That's just from a very quick look in Google. There are
plenty of others that you could use to make the argument
that US Submarines are a hazard to navigation due to
incompetence and shoddy operating practices.

Hey Rick you gonna be home next week? I'll stop by the tug on Monday or
Tuesday unless you are out at sea again.
