Expect the worst and this will never happen to you.

It seems like a long ride from just east of Jacksonville all the way around
Florida, back up the gulf to Mobile. I would have contacted Capt Neal. he could have sailed out from the swamp he lives in, taken the men off the Stolt Tenacity and had them home in no time. And he has a super special license of some sort, doesn't he? |

The rest of the operation certainly sounds like a Nil show, the sails wouldn't work, couldn't figure out how to tack, underpowered outboard, rigging fell off, dead battery ... it goes along with the water pipe boom repair doesn't it? Picked up a couple guys in a liferaft, once in the GOM... they were
bound from Mexico to Key West .... They ended up getting there Via Panama, which was our next port of call ... no requirement to take to the nearest or best port of their convenience if they are healthy. Captain Neal is apparently not responding while he pretends to still be cruising so I'll do it for him......"LUBBERS". |
