It is entirely possible that Nil made that trip. The names don't match
but nothing much about Nil matches reality anyway.

The rest of the operation certainly sounds like a Nil show, the sails
wouldn't work, couldn't figure out how to tack, underpowered outboard,
rigging fell off, dead battery ... it goes along with the water pipe
boom repair doesn't it?
