Jessica Lynch's own words:
1. She was not beaten by her Iraqi captors. 2. Her gun jammed, she did not fire a single shot. 3. She was taken in an ambulance to the Americans, who fired upon her, and then was returned to her captors. Lies, lies and incompetence!! Where are the weapons of mass destruction? RB |

Doesn't that count for anything? Yeah, the politically correct reporters who were trying to glorify a female soldier in combat embellished her story to the hilt. I doubt they were republicans. Are you saying that American soldiers fired at her "ambulance" knowing who was in it? Is that your point? In the middle of the combat phase, they fired at any Iraqi vehicle that approached them for no apparent reason. two wheels -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iD8DBQE/q0Q20IEDbd7J/jkRAnoaAKDqovysWX6KDLfM2LI1Cwz2Y6jABwCgqymR jPwvieMThL89mousheNX4bk= =dQqX -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

As BobSpirt hinted...perhaps she was raped elsewhere. We'll never know what was true at this point. RB |

And you believe that?
"Okay, Jessica, you can tell the truth about not putting up a big fight to the last moment, even though we lied about that from day one. Oh and we'll forget that you were actually rescued with the help of an Iraqi! So now let's just say you were raped, okay? Deal!!!? RB |

Maybe a quick look back at the press releases of the time might clarify the depth of the deception by the US Military. It just wasn't true about Pfc. Jessica Lynch. I don't believe the military was talking specifically about Lynch to the reporters. The reporters just took it and ran with it because it made a better story. What the military didn't do soon enough was correct the press lies. two wheels http://www.arkcity.net/stories/071203/com_0004.shtml Web posted Saturday, July 12, 2003 Kansan awarded Silver Star for heroic acts in war in Iraq By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS excerpt: - ------------------------- WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- Pfc. Patrick Miller has been awarded the Silver Star for his efforts during a fatal ambush in southern Iraq that ended with 11 U.S. soldiers killed and six captured. Miller, 23, of Valley Center, may have killed as many as nine Iraqi fighters before he and the five other soldiers were taken captive by the Iraqis, a U.S. Army report says. The report also says that mistakes and malfunctions led the Army's 507th Maintenance Co. into the ambush on March 23 -- the third day of the war. More than three dozen medals have been awarded to soldiers in the ambush, including Bronze Stars, Purple Hearts and Prisoner of War Medals, officials said. Miller was the only one to receive the Silver Star, which is awarded for bravery in combat. - ------------------------- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iD8DBQE/q7fK0IEDbd7J/jkRAt1ZAJ4l/aMeg85jDviya4UDu6khw4wxewCeMB25 g93I54oYS55HbXmIQj8nRq0= =wF0z -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

That is, at the end of the first Gulf War, we knew what he had. We knew what was destroyed in all the inspection processes and that was a lot. Bobsprit, you are a waste of space. Now you use the plight and trauma of a young American service woman and some hyped-up wartime reporting without shame to attempt to advance your political agenda which is as Anti-American is an agenda comes. You are the king of liberal Democrat talking points. You have yet to do anything but parrot the lies and propaganda of the Democrat party and spew your hatred for a free American and your love of terrorists. You're as sick as you're stupid. And Monday morning quarterbacking is such an
accomplishment! Wow, I'm impressed when anybody feels second-guessing is valid criticism or worth reading. S.Simon The Captains Nemesis wrote in message ... Seems to me that another 6 months would have revealed that Sadam was hiding NOTHING, and a whole bunch of American lives would have been saved PLUS those of Iraqi citizens....you know, the human beings that don't rate a mention as casualties of the US invasion. |
