Doesn't that count for anything? Yeah, the politically correct reporters who were trying to glorify a female soldier in combat embellished her story to the hilt. I doubt they were republicans. Are you saying that American soldiers fired at her "ambulance" knowing who was in it? Is that your point? In the middle of the combat phase, they fired at any Iraqi vehicle that approached them for no apparent reason. two wheels And you believe that? Maybe a quick look back at the press releases of the time might clarify the depth of the deception by the US Military. You're the same as Simp, you believe only what you want, you do no analysis, never look at the other side, Just feed on what's placed in your bowl. Oz1...of the 3 twins. The bravery story was true. It just wasn't true about Pfc. Jessica Lynch. I don't believe the military was talking specifically about Lynch to the reporters. The reporters just took it and ran with it because it made a better story. What the military didn't do soon enough was correct the press lies. two wheels http://www.arkcity.net/stories/071203/com_0004.shtml Web posted Saturday, July 12, 2003 Kansan awarded Silver Star for heroic acts in war in Iraq By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS excerpt: - ------------------------- WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- Pfc. Patrick Miller has been awarded the Silver Star for his efforts during a fatal ambush in southern Iraq that ended with 11 U.S. soldiers killed and six captured. Miller, 23, of Valley Center, may have killed as many as nine Iraqi fighters before he and the five other soldiers were taken captive by the Iraqis, a U.S. Army report says. The report also says that mistakes and malfunctions led the Army's 507th Maintenance Co. into the ambush on March 23 -- the third day of the war. More than three dozen medals have been awarded to soldiers in the ambush, including Bronze Stars, Purple Hearts and Prisoner of War Medals, officials said. Miller was the only one to receive the Silver Star, which is awarded for bravery in combat. - ------------------------- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iD8DBQE/q7fK0IEDbd7J/jkRAt1ZAJ4l/aMeg85jDviya4UDu6khw4wxewCeMB25 g93I54oYS55HbXmIQj8nRq0= =wF0z -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
