No...it's a "some boats do" thing...ours certainly doesn't....ice chest does, though, which really annoys me...

It is illegal to drain the ice chest to the bilge on the Great Lakes, well, on the Canadian side anyway. I am assuming it's the same on your side. Of course this doesn't bother me too much as mine does the same.
