Have you tried bleach?

My advice is to never use bleach on anything on a boat, unless you have very carefully prepared both the object to be bleached and the surrounding area. More trouble than it's worth IMHO. And despite all well intentioned advice to the contrary, putting bleach down a marine head is one of the worst things you can do to the whole sanitation system. Did you try vinegar?
