Default What a USCG Master's license is good for?

G So, once again to explain to Neal, you don't have him beat, he has
you beat.
Also, words on a license are one thing, and what those words mean to
those of us who "are", are another .... Do you have a MMD (Z-card)?
If not, many would not consider you a USMM officer, no matter what the
license says....
Try to understand, Neal, what the USCG says, is not the final word
within the industry, it's just the governmental, beauracratic take, on
the issue, for the purpose of licensing.
If you really do have a 25 ton license, we give you credit for getting
it. However, if all you have done is get the license and never used it
(which appears to be the case), then, to those of us who "are", you have
simply spent some minimal time and taken a minor test, which proved only
that you could pass the test (talk the talk) not that you could do the
job (walk the walk).
Try to understand, Neal, there are many "professional" mariners out
there, be they 6-pac or unlimited Masters, whose life, profession, etc.,
revolves around being on the water..... a license, does NOT make you a
professional, it just makes you a license holder ..... and THAT, Neal,
is ALL you have proven, to us, to be..

If you don't have the basic intelligence, needed to understand this
concept, then you probably don't have the basic intelligence to
understand what has been said, above.

Good diatribe and I certainly can't argue with it and
retain any credibility at all . . .

Wasn't a "diatribe".
It was a basic discussion/dissertation of facts.
The fact that you can't argue with it, says that you may have some
intelligence, after all.
As for your "credibility" .... well .... let's say that in some areas,
you have some, but in those areas that will elicit a response from me,
you have little or none.

What do you mean "retain" any credibility. You never had any to begin with.

Bwahahahahahahahaa, face it, Nil, you are just another internet wannabe
who will never "walk the walk."

Nil didn't have to join the Coast Guard, he claimed they are so
impressed with his nautical skills and knowledge that they want him to
teach license classes.

He'll be back with an unlimited ticket as soon as he explains to the CG
how the system really works.

The first two did. They were so crowded it was just about impossible to do
emails. A small chance at internet web pages and zero for newsgroups. I
sent tons of stuff during those days. Little vignettes of the journey and
so on. Apparently they went South along with everything else including a
good deal of the 'green stuff'. Oh well. No fool like an old fool. Back
to the cell phone hookup. I have the 600 business day and unlimited rest of
the time plan which runs $39.95 plus $19.95 for unlimited internet access.
Probably some other deals like this but a lot of the cell companies have
real bad reputations. The worst I've found so far is Cingular. Had there
insurance plan, lost the phone, two plus months later all I've received is
the same "USED" and "BROKEN" phone twice. You have to spend literally hours
on the phone to get anywhere and then the stillscam you. I've been taping
the conversations though. Once they say they are taping you can do the same
without further question or comment. Right now I've got enough, in the
event any class action stuff starts, to show conspiracy to defraud and a
clear RICO violation. Depending on how many others bothered to keep the
proof. On a similar side off topic issue. The same thing applies when an
airlines knowling overbooks and takes your money only to deny you space on a
flight. US Air and for sure United are prime examples. I had three of the
United employees all admittig they oversold on purpose and as company
policy. Bingo . ..conspiracy to defraud and given the price of the tickets
.. .RICO! All it took was to mention this wasn't a civil violation but a
criminal violation and 'by the way how do you spell your name?" All of
sudden a seat on the flight magically appeared.

Question: If printed US dollars are 'legal tender" how come they can be
refused as payment? (rental car companies, airline ticket counters e.g.)
Just thought I'd ask.

Anyway . . T Mobile so far has done a good job for me so I'm not complaining
especially after those scum suckers at Cingular. Oh yes, you have to buy
the hookup cord separate.

MST

Good day on the water . . . .Plenty of wind and good weather. Now for some
sleep . ..tomorrow is a 14 hour day out to the oil rigs and back.

Neal claimed to have gone to the Bahamas one time. All fifty miles away.
Even posted some photos but none with him or his boat. Last time I went
through there I saw the same pictures. Five for a Dollar postcards.

Oh well . . . .
