Bobsprit is superior - plain and simple.
Donal tells us that love of a boat is determined by length of ownership.
Perhaps love is demonstrated by length of comminment?? Commitment shouldn't prevent opertunity. Turning down the 34XL would be a huge loss and a mistake from any perspective.
