Default Bobsprit is superior - plain and simple.

Its odd that none of the Morgan owners that I know have experienced =
those
problems though.=20

All the Morgan owners I've known have been very happy with their boats. =
Three of them were long time liveaboards and found them to be very =
functional for that purpose.

The Morgan Out Island series was just your typical
motorboat with sails. They were sold mostly for the
charter trade to be rented by people who valued
room and schedules over sailing performance.

Besides that they are ugly as hell. There's not
much good to be said about a Morgan Out Island.
Around here they're called Morgan Out Houses.

Oh, so it's one of those boats you are "certified" to operate so long as
you don't raise the sails ...

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Hey Nil, are you gonna try for a sail endorsement when you renew or
don't you have the sailing time yet?

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

The sailing endorsement is a waste of time and money.

I can captain a sailboat totally legally as long as it
has an auxiliary.

And the auxilary is running . . .and it's in gear . . .and the prop is
spinning . . . . .and the docklines are untied .. . . etc. But then
considering the way I wasted the last year and half who am I to talk.....

Make sure you tell that to the people at the REC when you go in for your
renewal. They will be fascinated with your interpretation of the regs
and may even ask you to teach classes for them.

Do you even know what an "auxiliary" is?

Tell us about your motorboat license and how it covers sailboats with
"auxiliary" bits.

You're pretty stupid if you have to ask.

So tell us Nil, how your little motorboat license covers any kind of
sailboat at all?
