We can solve this problem very easily: I'll be pulling the boat out of the
water around Thanksgiving, simple proof of my ownership would be for you to
pay the yard to pull my boat. If I don't have a boat then you have nothing
to pay for. You could even pay for the first 40' of the boat to make it easy
for you and I'll pay the rest.

Wouldn't you like to know. Then you might take pictures and call it your

own
to all the unsuspecting folks on the newsgroup.

You don't own a boat. Case closed.

Bob would never run away. He isn't a yellow-bellied, full of s*it,
chicken. who makes claims that he can't back up.

I'm sure that he is going to offer to pay for BE's lift-out totally secure
in the knowledge that BE has no boat.

Sure will. All he has to do is tell us which boat and where she is....
Pretty simple.

Better than that because there is no "us" paying only you. In about a week
I'll be making plans for hauling. You can call the yard and give then your
credit card number for my boat, and I will provide you with my USCG doc's, a
copy of my drivers license so when you think it's someone elses, and even
take you for a sail, that should cover the $4k for the storage. And if your
nice I'll take you for a ride in my Ferrari, and I'll show you the copy of
the doc's when you think I borrowed that too.

4K for storage. Even at Capri that would be a 65 foot boat. Now we know you
don't have a boat.

4K would be about right for a 40 footer at a Brewer's yard. $44 per foot for storage,
$16/f + materials for shrink, $10/f to leave mast in, more to unrig and store.
Decommissioning engine, genset, etc. It adds up fast when you go first class.

You know he never answered back, what could be better proof than a bet to
pay my hauling fee's if I don't own a boat. (and it's a big sailboat at
that, much much better than Alien, and plenty of 'feet' to pay for)

It sounds like a "modest" sailboat to me. Booby has an awful long way to
go.

Very modest as in none at all.
