Default Captain Neal, You're an authority!!!

I only know one Coronado owner .... and he seems to be happy with his boat.

A Beneteau owner defends a Coronado owner.

(sniffle!)

Are you happy with your boat? ... No! I thought NOT!

Neal's Coronado is worth more than any boat that you have ever owned -
(because he is content with it).

Better luck with your next boat. Will it have a microwave oven?

We paid 16K for her. She'll sell for double that or more. In fact, a boat no
where near her good condition for more than double this past spring.
In addition to that I took out some business people this year who saw fit to
reward me with a gift of cash. Finally, indirectly Alien has led me to two very
nice deals on boats, sold for well above what I paid. It's been a nice year and
to say we sail for free isn't accurate. We're now well ahead of the game. The
same goes for the 34XL. We're paying 25K or more under TMV and so we'll make
money when we trade up/sideways/down.
There you have it!

So you're not making very much out of it. Bob, you really do think "small".

I've told you before that you need to think "out of the box".
Try to stand back and look at the situation a bit differently. You will
see that you aren't making very much at all. You should be a bit more
ambitious.

Let's put it another way:-
Your life, just like your boats, is a series of stepping stones.
However, each step is too small. You are never going to get very far
unless you try to raise your personal expectations.

Go for it, Bob! Take charge of your own life! Make a decent film!

But my next boat is better and faster than yours. I'm just turning 41. My
stepping stones are part of a learning curve that I enjoy and it outpaces
yours.
The "most" boat I'd ever want would be a new Baltic (or the like) and we'll own
one in the next 6-8 years.

Oh, Donal...I see that you DO care!

This makes me wonder if you know what "stepping stone" really means! Everyone's
life is a series of stepping stones. It's called evolution and progression. Yap
all you like about "liking" that Beneteau, but you know it's a cheap boat
compared to many. One day you may have better. Perhaps you're already planning
for a nicer boat one day. If not, then you're missing what the combination of
youth and sailing different boats can offer.
Old age is for settling down with "the" boat.
Now..tell us, my boy, will you ever have a better boat?
