Thought: Because Neal is a registered trademark, and he claoms that his =
website holds a copywrite, doesn't that mean this guy must pay him =
royalties for the use of his site? Maybe this is how Neal's funding the =
$300.00 he needs to get into the Bahamas.

Katy is confused as usual. A cruising permit costs 300 bucks now
for boats 35 feet and over. It is only half that for boats under
35 feet. But for a Westerly Centaur they let you in for free and
give you a medal for bravery in the face of depressingly slow
speeds and uttermost homeliness.

So then what would the cost be for a Westerly Berwick at 35' LOA? (31' LOD
+ 2' Bowsprit + 2' Sailomat)

You could probably get in as a 31-footer for 150 bucks.

That bowsprit and wind vane don't really count. Show
the officials documentation that states 31 feet and you're
in like Flint or is that in like Flin?

What you need to do, though, is plan a crossing of the Stream
in company of a bunch of 23-25 footers so you won't get left
behind.

With Neal as an authority this auction has generated a lot of interest. So far, in three
days, it has zero bids. With not reserve, does this mean someone can get it for $900?

Well, yes. It wouldn't work for me, as it's 3000+ miles away,
but this is the epitome of a motivated seller. It's not the
first time this boat's been listed on ebay. Don't know why it
didn't sell the first time.
