No Marty, The Simian got us beat, hand down as far as sailing opportunities goes. I keep my boat in the water year 'round and my winter sailing with the pilothouse is a lot of fun. There is better wind and less crowds but I don't have the sunshine. At Latitude 48 day lite is pretty short, as you know on your Lake. The Capt has long warm days the year round and longer days to play in it. The bum can even swim in it all year. Even though I'll be sailing on New Years Eve and day, it will be with my RED DOT heater going. His season is longer OT True enough, but even had I a pilot house I believe that sailing in the traditional sense, would difficult in Janurary, Feb. and March when the water is rather hard in these parts. As for the Crapton, while one can sail year round in his neck of the woods, this in no way implies that HE ever unhooks from his engine block. Cheers Marty |
