Guess you have never been in the Gulf, You have to go out 10+ miles to
blue water. Bays brown, but its full of shrimp and fish. Most likey
the cause of it turning brown was the Houston ship channel developed
after the 1900 storm that wiped out Galveston. I live on Clear Lake,
just down a cut that Lafitte hid his pirated ships in the tall trees.
I wonder if this place was ever clear, or if it was a ruse, like
Greenland.
