Not me but that WAS your last boyfriend's major complaint . . .

I've since added a second Rotel 1080 amp to match the 1075 and and added a pair of Snell J3's for listing to certain types of non orechestral classical recordings. I removed the Conrad Johnson amp which is now in the bedroom. The TV is high def of course. Watching and hearing In the Flesh or ELO live or Steely Dan concerts can bring a tear to the eye. http://members.aol.com/bobsprit/images/room1.jpg And before you ask....the well matched B&W rear channels... http://members.aol.com/bobsprit/images/room2.jpg RB |

Bob...with all your resources...why did you purchase a digital camera with
no built in flash?....... Were you planning a trip to the sun?.... -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- FIGHT BACK AGAINST SPAM! You call this a good pic? .... http://members.aol.com/bobsprit/images/room1.jpg Were you trying to achieve the dark look? As I can not see your famous TV system? This is with available light and no flash. With the black curtains do you realize what I would have to do to get them lit correctly, while preserving the lighting scheme. Let's teach you a few things! Here's a pic of an initial trial setup for the system right after the new carpet was down. The curtains arent' even hung properly yet. http://members.aol.com/bobsprit/images/rtheatre.jpg Remote flash kinda stark, eh? It's possible to bounce the flash or card it, of course, but the pics are fine. They were both posted together. The "dark" version is great at full resolution of 5 MP taken with the C50. AOL's easy designer doesn't help. Are you learning yet? With large format camera, such an 8X10, i'd have made a double exposure by slipping the sheet..not that you know what that means! RB |

With the black curtains do you realize what I would have to do to get them lit correctly, while preserving the lighting scheme. Then you should have exposed for the gear and eliminated the curtains from the equation. Ever heard of the zone system? Spot metering? How about looking at the image in the camera's screen, deciding it's too dark, and telling the camera to open up a stop or two? Why take one crap pciture and leave it at that, especially when the wonderful world of digital affords one the ability to review instantly and get it better next time - a few scant seconds later? Let's teach you a few things! Uh-huh. Here's a pic of an initial trial setup for the system right after the new carpet was down. The curtains arent' even hung properly yet. http://members.aol.com/bobsprit/images/rtheatre.jpg Remote flash kinda stark, eh? Maybe so, but if the purpose is to show off the gear, then there's little point in going for artistic nonsense that shows nothing other than a few vague boxes. It's possible to bounce the flash or card it, of course, but the pics are fine. They were both posted together. The "dark" version is great at full resolution of 5 MP taken with the C50. But useless at the webcam res that you post them in. Which begs the question, why post a crap picture? AOL's easy designer doesn't help. What effect did this have? Are you learning yet? Are you? With large format camera, such an 8X10, i'd have made a double exposure by slipping the sheet..not that you know what that means! Why would you make a double exposure? Aside from that, since an 8x10 uses sheet film, one would expect that the shutter mechanism doesn't have an 'expose-once' lock, like you'd find on a 35mm - so what's the point in messing about with the dark slide? Surely that will be more likely to induce camera shake than a cable release. -- Wally www.makearatherlonglinkthattakesyounowhere.com Things are always clearer in the cold, post-upload light. |

With large format camera, such an 8X10, i'd have made a double
exposure by slipping the sheet..not that you know what that means! Why would you make a double exposure? Oh boy. You know nothing about still work. The photo was taken to show the lighting as is, not the gear, which is clear and bright in the second photo. Half slides on an 8x10 cassette is standard, exposing twice, then dodging with the enlarger. You clearly never learned how a camera works or worked in a darkroom. RB |
