How much bigger is the cabin than a 33.7? You're the expert! You da man! Real question..... Why was I not impressed by the 36.7? Regards Donal -- |

John, you're not acting too bright. Why, becauase he is actually taking a look at what's on the market before making announcements about 'the best boat'? I examined the market carefully. No one has proven otherwise by showing a boat that does what the 34xl can do. RB |

Relatively few boats over 40 feet have 7' bunks. Especially mass-produced
boats. However, it's all out there. If you look hard enough, you'll find. Yup. Found ONE. The 34xl from C&C. RB |

I never have trouble getting a good sleep during a long-distance
cruise, although I do agree with you. I seem to attune myself to the boat and its motion pretty quickly, so if there's a change, especially if something feels wrong, I wake instantly. "Simple Simon" wrote in message ... If you were any kind of sailor you'd realize that you rarely get a good night's sleep even if your berth is 10 feet long. Real sailors sleep with one eye open but you wouldn't know a thing about that would you? S.Simon - 40 winks, two or three at a time like a real sailor. "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... I ran the search for boats 30'-40' priced from 0-99k and came up with 400. Question is, why would someone want to buy a boat that they can't sail competitively? John, you're not acting too bright. I need a boat where getting a good night's sleep is possible and without forcing my wife to sleep in another bunk! VERY few boats under 40 feet have 7 foot bunks. Now throw in the perormance criteria and not buying a bloated old boat. Sorry. RB |

The Express 30 has no bunk of reasonable size for someone 6'3. It's far
slower than the C&C 34XL. It's cabin is smaller than the boat I have now! It's a starter boat. Except for the speed thing your other 2 comments are off base. The X-Yachts reminds me of the C&C 99 with a inferior interior. Neither the X-Yacht nor the C&C are less than 100K used. The X-Yachts 332 looks nothing like the 99 either on deck or down below or below the waterline. As far as neither being avail. for less than a hundred grand just how do you know? Do you know anyone who has bought either one? I think not. All YOU have seen is advertised prices. According to you a C&C 32 can't be had for less than thirty some grand but you were the only one in the world who did. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" Trains are a winter sport |
