"The Captains Master" wrote: Donal, I've lived on the waterfront or no more than two blocks from it all my life. I've biult canoes from old corrugated iron filling the holes and seams with tar scabbed from the roadside on hot summer days. Fished with a Eucalypt branch and a piece of string, played at Ozzie Tom Sawyer all my teen years and then some, rowed hundreds of miles in a clinker built rowing skiff, built sailed and won in my own dinghys, scows and yachts from 8 years old (yes, I built a Manly Junior dinghy at 8 with help from my grandfather, a master builder and carpenter of renown here in Oz)..... I guess you have to buy and XXXL Greek Captain's hat for your swollen head? guffaw LP |
